Giving Tuesday | Help Students Defy The Odds

African-American families in Central Arkansas often experience inequalities in their access to social, economic and educational opportunities. Without access to programs that address these inequalities, the odds of children from these impacted families succeeding are greatly reduced. Tendaji CDC was founded to address this issue. We promote educational and behavioral models that encourage lasting change in the lives of underserved youth and their families, and this Giving Tuesday, we’re asking for your support during this global generosity movement.

Consider helping us continue our efforts to help Central Arkansas families defy the odds and achieve success! Why should you give? Last year alone, donor support allowed us to impact hundreds of lives.

  • 30 Schools impacted by Tendaji CDC’s programs

  • 180 Students received afterschool tutoring

  • 140 Students attended our A.R.T. Impact Virtual Summer Camp

  • 88% of students participating in Reclaiming Scholars exhibited positive behavior

When you give to Tendaji, you help us continue to offer our students opportunities available through signature programs, including:

  • Program I.M.P.A.C.T. offers engaging after-school tutoring to students needing academic support in low-performing schools, so they can defy the odds of being less than proficient on standardized tests.

  • A.R.T. Impact Summer Camp encourages students to explore the use of art in developing new and imaginative opportunities for communication and expression in science. Last summer, we offered virtual summer camp so students with access to summer programming could defy the odds of being affected by the summer slide

  • Reclaiming Scholars is an alternative to traditional out-of-school suspension. It provides students with educational instruction, counseling and mentorship. Students learn the value of redemption while defying the odds of getting suspended again and dropping out of high school.

These programs make a difference. With your help, we can continue working to make lasting change possible for our students and their families so they can defy the odds!

To support our efforts, visit tendajicdc.org and make your donation this Giving Tuesday.

Thank you in advance for your support.
